Workplace:IKEA Halifax 645 Cutler Ave, Dartmouth, NS B3B 0M2Workplace details: Big box retail store.Primary Duties:Light and heavy-duty housekeeping attendant.- Sweep, wash vinyl and ceramic floor surfaces- Vacuum carpets, rugs and upholstery in various rooms in the showroom.- Dusting surfaces in hallways and various showroom areas of the store- Bathrooms: wash and disinfect surfaces of counters, sinks, mirrors, toilets and urinals. Sweep and clean ceramic floors with wet mop. Dust and clean metal partitions in toilets. Polish stainless-steel surfaces. Replenish paper and hand soap supplies.- Clean and disinfect wall mounted water fountains and polish stainless steel in public areas on various floors.- Cafeteria, Bistro: Sweep and mop floors with wet mop, clean and disinfect surfaces.- Collect and empty garbage & recycling garbage cans in the building and take to appropriate container.- Clean floor surfaces in store and warehouse.- Neutralize calcium on winter carpets.- Clean elevator surfacesYears of experience related to the job: 1 year of experienceSkills Description: Punctual person, good communicator. Detail oriented. Self-starter.
