We are a third-party warehousing and logistics company located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, dedicated to providing services to clients from Halifax and Dartmouth to all provinces across Canada and the United States.We have over 120,000 square feet of warehouse space and we have been providing services to customers in every major industry, including but not limited to: fishing, minerals, engineered equipment, paper products, industrial products, construction material, automobile industry and many more!We are looking for an experienced computer technician or in a similar role to expand, maintain our network and ensure our services run smoothly and effectively to meet customer needs and the company’s expansion plans in terms of IT & infrastructure and multiple warehouse locations.Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot issues and provide support related to hardware, operating systems, and applications- Repair, upgrade and maintenance of both local and wide area networks to ensure services run smoothly for multiple warehouses- Provide onsite and telephone support for computer hardware and telephone systems.- Administer and support the network communication system used for our staff, customer, and warehouse(s)- Provide basic training on the use of the network and the standard software packages to new staff users, as well as providing support to user’s specific issues of using software packages when required- Communicate opportunities for improved leveraging of hardware, software, and support resources including standardization- Schedule data backups and maintain disaster recovery operations- Ensure all system problems are tracked and logged in accordance with problem management procedures- Ensure that client device security is maintained in accordance with corporate security policies and participate in security compliance reviews- Improve server performance by executing network traffic and security monitoring software- Implement tests and operate security and quality controls- Perform other tasks as assigned by management and maintain IT inventoryRequirements:- A post-secondary technology diploma or equivalent specializing in computers, networking, or information systems- 3 years experience working in the same or similar role- Fluent in EnglishQualifications:- Team player- Ability to work under pressure- Strong problem solving and communication skills- Self-motivated- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $23.00 per hourSchedule:
