Job Description

We are honored to be a member of Canada Best Managed Companies.We are currently recruiting for a Corporate Production Planner for our Dartmouth, NS location.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning the daily production schedule of the plant machinery while maximizing efficiency and ensuring waste, overtime and downtime are kept to a minimum.
  • Monitor paper inventory and ensure adequate stock
  • Receive scheduling orders from our other locations, prepare production reports, and assist the production team in a variety of areas including the gathering, analyzing, filing and reporting of quality information and various other record keeping duties.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of product to meet production schedule and customer expectation
  • Interact with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested
  • Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, and productivity.
  • Communicate production status to Mangers and Customer Service on regular basis
  • Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule with schedulers to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain reports for production planning activities.
Required knowledge and training includes:
  • Planning and Inventory Management Certification (CPIM)
  • 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience,
  • Strong working knowledge of MS programs including Word and Excel,
  • Above average mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven record as a team player.
