Our team works Monday to Friday single shifts with onsite training provided.Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to):

• Assembly of company products and components including:
• Optical rotary joint assembly
• Mechanical assembly
• Completing and maintaining assembly documentation;
• Packaging of products;
• Reporting of process and product related anomalies and problems;
• Optical verification and testing of products;
• Adherence to ISO quality system;
• Support Shop Leads - ensuring approved processes are followed;
• Other duties as assigned in support of production objectives.

Skills and Abilities:

• Good manual dexterity;
• Experience with fiber optics, electrical, mechanical assemblies;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Willingness and ability to meet challenging customer requirements and schedules;
• High attention to detail with ability to learn and multitask;
• Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision, maintaining focus on work quality;
• Self-motivated and highly proactive work style with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings an asset;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills;
• Experience working within an ISO or other quality system;
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and other computer systems (ie. Time tracking).

Qualifications

• Completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician or Technology program or minimum 2 years’ experience as an assembly technician in a related field;
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
