Requisition ID: 114271Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramAbout This OpportunityAlbro Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This centrally located practice is just minutes away from downtown Dartmouth and is a short commute to central Halifax. This practice is comprised of three full-time Family Physicians and one Family Practice Nurse, whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. As a recently renovated clinic, an incoming physician will enjoy working in this modern and large space, and have access to an office and two separate examining rooms.This clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The clinic is on the EMR, Med Access. Overhead fees are low and very competitive for the Dartmouth area.The compensation structure for the full-time position is fee-for-service and physicians practicing on a 1.0 FTE can expect to earn an annual income of approximately $260, 000.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • act as a patient’s advocate
  • prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

  • eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
