Requisition ID: 101921Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: OtherSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramAbout This OpportunityDartmouth Medical Centre is seeking full-time Family Physicians to join their collaborative practice. This large group practice located in Dartmouth has beautiful views of the Halifax Harbour, and is composed of more than 9 physicians and offers rent subsidized suites. A busy walk-in clinic provides extra shifts for newcomers, if desired. The clinic uses the EMR system, Accuro Medical Software.Depending on your professional interests, physicians may shape their practice to include: inpatient care, nursing home care, hospitalist work, ER coverage, surgical assists to name a few services available to participate.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Qualifications
  • Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
