Requisition ID: 125565Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramAbout This OpportunityWoodlawn Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This modern clinic is located a short drive from downtown Dartmouth and comfortable commute from Halifax. The clinic is a large collaborative practice with family physicians, nurse practitioners, family practice nurses and specialists on site; they are seeking family physicians to join their team in a full time and a part time role. The clinic is well maintained, professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. This position comes with an existing patient roster and the compensation structure for this position is fee-for-service.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Expected Hours
  • Part-time, 0.6FTE
  • Full time, 1.0FTE
Qualifications
  • Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
