For more information, please visit our website at www.lindsayconstruction.ca.Job OverviewReporting to the Director of Safety, the Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for promoting a safe work culture and assisting the safety department in all administrative tasks related to safety and quality. In this role, the successful candidate would be responsible for scheduling all safety-related training, maintaining an accurate and current training database, and ensuring all safety records are properly maintained.Position ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support and assist all HSE staff
  • Collect all safety training records and maintain a current and accurate database
  • Provide assistance with all safety tracking for jobsites
  • Provide employees with health and safety information and support managers as required
  • Assist with safety-related aspects of new hire onboarding
  • Facilitate all safety-related training for employees, and maintain records of this training
  • Coordinates audit preparations for external audits/inspections. In addition, supports in the completion of internal departmental auditing
  • Supports in the facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Job Requirements:The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
  • Post-secondary education in either Occupational Health and Safety, or Office Administration, or related field
  • 1- 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Ability to multi-task and meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong ability to assist others and build relationships
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint
