Each hospitalist covers a specific unit/service (most of us have 0.95 FTE positions) and we collectively cover call for one week every 5 weeks (home call). We complete admission assessments on psychiatry inpatients and address any medical concerns that may arise over the course of their admission. Remuneration is competitive with no overhead fees. Specific locum details are outlined below.Sites AvailableEast Coast Forensics Hospital - There is an immediate need for hospitalist coverage at the ECFH in Dartmouth until approximately June 30th, 2022. The dates between now and June 30th can be flexible and this position can be between 0.75-0.95 FTE, depending on the availability of those interested.6 Lane, Acute Care Inpatient Psychiatry and Short Stay Unit - There will be a 2 week locum opportunity this summer from July 18th - 29th (inclusive). This position will be a 0.95 FTE and no call shifts will be required during this period of coverage. I cover these units and would be happy to meet with anyone who is interested on the units to show them around/complete an orientation if desired.Willow Hall (Geriatric Psychiatry), Emerald Hall (Adult Neurodevelopmental Stabilization Unit) at Nova Scotia Hospital in Dartmouth - There will likely be a 6-8 week locum opportunity this summer (exact dates TBD)To ApplyIf interested, please contact Taylor Betsch (1- 506-850-8395).
