  • Working with Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements
  • The delivery of IT Asset Management & Procurement services to clients within the NS Government and Nova Scotia Health
  • Warehousing shipping and receiving and handling of IT surplus
  • IT Procurement- placing orders, billing, cost recoveries, reconciliation
  • Reading and analyzing reports
  • Creating strategies for increasing supply chain efficiency
  • Influence, interpret and implement policies and procedures in IT supply management and procurement
  • Play a key role in both project delivery and operational support to ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software equipment and devices
  • Demonstrate strong ability to supervise teams throughout day-to-day situations
  • To work in a high pressure and fast paced environment with the ability to multitask
  • IT Ticket and Que Management
  • Management and resolve escalations pertaining to the procurement and delivery of IT hardware and software
How you can make an impact
  • Responsible for billing, receiving, reconciliations and cost recoveries
  • Execute audits and troubleshoot any discrepancies
  • Responsible for working with bulk orders of IT equipment
  • Responsible for warehouse supervision, shipping/receiving and IT equipment surplus.
  • Responsible for the asset management and procurement of consignment goods.
  • Ensure data integrity throughout our Inventory Management and Procurement process.
  • Ensure efficient and effective staff workloads.
  • Ensure processes are in place to analyze staff processes and monitor for any issues.
  • Lead team meetings and prepare agendas to discuss performance reports on team processes, mentors’ staff on new processes and ensures up to date documentation of changes.
  • Implement solutions and ensure appropriate risk management.
  • First contact for team/client escalations concerning workloads and client issues.
  • Work closely with, and escalates to the Manager, IT Asset Management & Procurement to find resolution for all inventory/procurement issues.
  • Develop and delivery training to the team to implement internal processes and provide ongoing mentoring
  • Work with IT vendors
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and 3 years related experience; or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program and 3 years and 6 months related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage challenging deadlines, and execute time management and organizational skills
The following are considered assets:
  • Knowledge and experience of warehousing / shipping & receiving
  • Demonstrated experience in IT procurement
  • Knowledge of Office automation software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook Email.
  • Knowledge of NS Government internal tools, i.e., FileNet, Archibus, Assyst, SAP.
  • Knowledge of IT Hardware & Software
