Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, the Psychologist is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation and evaluation of a client’s individual needs, within the scope of the Registered Psychologist.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Recognized Masters degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • A minimum of two years relevant experience, with a strong background in mental health
  • Experience in the assessment and treatment of youth with significant emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Demonstrated ability to employ a trauma informed lens to therapeutic interventions
  • Experience in utilizing the ARC model in the provision of therapeutic interventions is considered an asset
  • Strong assessment skills and comfort with diagnostics utilizing DSM5 criteria
  • Excellent documentation/report writing skills required
  • Ability to establish models of care based on programming needs.
  • Ability to evaluate progress and adapt therapy as required.
  • Strong CBT and DBT skills and ability to deliver DBT skills group and CBT groups for anxiety and depression required
  • Ability to work independently and to work cooperatively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to provide and utilize clinical supervision and support
  • Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset
