This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.ResponsibilitiesPLEASE NOTE: This position is based out of Central Zone with travel to Western Zone.The Clinical Psychologist will work under the direction of the provincial coordinating psychologist to ensure the effective provision of empirically supported sexual offender assessment and treatment services. Duties include program development activities, research, prevention initiatives, sexual recidivism risk assessment, and/or the facilitation of specialized group treatment as well as involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings. While court testimony is infrequent, it is a potential aspect of any work conducted at the FSBP. Independence will be both expected and encouraged while ensuring that all services are provided in accordance with CPA & NSBEP ethical standards and practice guidelines for Psychologists, the provincial standards of the FSBP, the principles and practices of NSHA, and relevant legislature.Please Note: Recruitment incentives and /or relocation may be offered to the successful candidates based on qualifying criteria.Qualifications
