Job Description

We are pleased to advise that we require a Regional Sales Manager for the Nova Scotia region. Our managers work at both a customer level and employee level to ensure our success, and are a key requirement in maintaining and developing lasting and loyal relationships. The Regional Sales Manager can be located in any of our stores in the Nova Scotia region (Dartmouth, Sydney, Halifax, Yarmouth and Antigonish).Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the construction equipment rental and sales industry, with a strong rental/sales background;
  • The ability to identify appropriate products to meet customer needs and to find market opportunities to increase growth and profitability;
  • Self-motivated, with a highly enthusiastic personality and a strong customer service/safety focus;
  • Prior experience in helping sales staff build solid relationships with new and existing customers in the region, with a willingness to motivate, support, and manage team members;
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail and paperwork organization;
  • The ability to make cold calls if required, with or without staff members;
  • Computer literate with proficiencies in Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • A detailed understanding of Caterpillar equipment and equipment systems, along with the rest of the Battlefield Equipment, Jobsite, and SITECH equipment lines;
  • A background in crisis management and major decision-making;
  • The ability to assist with the preparation of financial budgets, monitoring of budgets, and quarterly re-forecasting;
  • Short and long term planning to meet or exceed set goals;
  • Safety conscious with a diverse understanding of Battlefield operating policies;
  • The ability to deal with all staff and customers in a timely and mutually agreeable manner.
Additional Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and business development;
  • College and/or University Diploma with any relevant experience;
  • Experience with A/R collections and A/R dispute resolution would be beneficial;
  • Prior experience with both TRAC operation and Systematics would be considered an asset.
