The company operates globally with over 700 employees in its nine facilities located in Canada, USA, Belgium, Australia, and China.We are currently seeking a motivated candidate to fill the role of System Administrator, a permanent, full-time position. This role will be a hybrid role, combining Infrastructure and End-User Support responsibilities.If you are an experienced, hands-on System Administrator, with above-average problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and have a desire to grow an organization through your abilities, this is an excellent opportunity for you to build your career!Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Computer Systems, copiers, printers, and fax machines and work with vendors to accomplish these tasks as required
  • Maintain all local software and hardware licensing to ensure performance.
  • Maintain and secure passwords, file system security and data integrity for desktops.
  • Support Development and Production servers environments.
  • Complete System Installation and Upgrades.
  • Network troubleshooting to identify general network issues.
  • Manage Network Security.
  • Maintain forest and domain level services in Active Directory server including creating, updating, and removing user profiles.
  • Manage entire inventory related to hardware, software, and other IT supplies.
  • Maintain and update documentation of procedures and configurations.
  • Maintain SLA’s on tickets with regards to End User Support.
  • Maintain server, upgrade, secure, system backups and disaster recovery preparation.
  • Create, verify, and troubleshoot issues with regards to network connections onAzure Cloud Services.
Education & Experience
  • Completion of Graduation or Diploma in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years in a progressively similar role
  • Basic knowledge on Networking. i.e. DNS, DHCP, IP, LAN.
  • Experience administering O365 and
  • Experience with ticketing tools
Soft Skill Requirements:
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and sharing best practices
  • Effective communication skills both written and orally with all levels of staff and management
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast pace and continuous improvement environment
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Highly professional and polite with a positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
  • Comfortable presenting information to internal and external parties including reports and proposals.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Unix, Shell, Python, etc.)
  • Public Cloud knowledge/certifications (Amazon, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of database management systems
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices (specifically Change and Release Management)
  • Experience with Business Process Management tools (i.e. AgilePoint)
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check
  • Fine motor skills and coordination, grasping, turning and manipulating smallobjects and power equipment.
  • Intermittent to frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, pullingitems from their correct location, (shelves) and moving freight weighing up to25 pounds and less frequently up to 50 pounds.
