Job Description

We are honored to be a member of Canada Best Managed Companies.Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, the System Administrator will provide support to all Maritime Paper locations in a Windows environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Order, set-up, and install end user desktops, laptops, printers, SIP phones, and mobile devices
  • Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on workstations, printers, email, phones, and network
  • Network administration and security, including managing operating systems and end user software, and communication devices/requirements
  • Track assets and ensure they are assigned in accordance with company policies
  • Hardware and software management
  • Server administration and maintenance, including upgrades and patches
  • Manage back-up and recovery system
  • Manage user security awareness training
  • Shared responsibility for after-hours support
  • Keeps abreast on latest cyber security solutions and ensures preventative measures/firewalls to secure network system
  • Documentation and training on applications, as required
  • Update policies and procedures, as required
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology
  • At least 5+ years of practical experience working in Information Technology or IT Support
  • Experience working with Network Devices such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches, or Wireless Access Points;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent customer service orientation;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with little supervision
