The opportunity Reporting to the Vice President, Philanthropic Planningamp; Integration, the new Director will be results oriented, highly organized and will play an important part in achieving HSF’s philanthropic goals. This role provides oversight, leadership, and support to a team of skilled professionals in the areas of opportunity development, prospect development and research, donor stewardship, and strategic writing.  The Director’s role will directly impact and enhance the successful acquisition and fulfillment of donor pledges and result in revenue generation to advance the Foundation’s mission.  The Director will also be responsible for helping to foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization.   As a part of an integrated fundraising strategy, the Director will liaise and collaborate with regional development teams to ensure the efficient coordination of efforts, sharing of materials, knowledge, and leads, and to encourage and assist individuals and teams in pursuit of their regional efforts and goals.  The Director does not carry a portfolio of prospects but provides expert direction and support to the Development teams on their prospects.    The Director ensures the alignment of funding opportunities and programs for individual donors and prospects as well as supervises the creation of compelling and customized proposals that align with the Foundation’s mission priorities. This role also oversees the management of successful stewardship of donors on a national basis and helps ensure re-engagement.
