Job Description

Position Type: Full Time, Overnight ShiftLocation: Debert, Nova ScotiaDivision: Postmedia Parcel ServicesThe Company:Postmedia is a Canadian news media company representing more than 130 brands across multiple print, online and mobile platforms.   • Operate a forklift and a pallet jack in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Work with the Evening and Overnight Supervisors to make sure freight is loaded on time and no freight is left behind.
  • Help organize loading and unloading.
  • Responsible for filling out BOLs before truck departures.
  • Ensure the facility is clear of debris throughout the shift.
  • Daily usage of emails and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Assist in setting up the floor plan daily for the next day’s sort.
  • This list is subject to change as deemed necessary without notice.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse environment, with working knowledge of logistics, trucking and loading requirements would be an asset.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Forklift Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline driven environment, with a focus on safety and quality control.
  • Be resourceful, adaptable to change, work well under pressure.
  • Time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work up to 12 hr shifts

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
