Job Description

JOB POSTINGMaterial Handler Term Positions various shiftsThe OpportunityHome Hardware has multiple openings for term Material Handlers on the Day, Afternoon or Night Shift. As a Material Handler you are responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout all areas of the Distribution Centre by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.Responsibilities include:

  • Picking in various sections
  • Ensuring the proper and efficient loading of trailers
  • Receiving of inbound merchandise
  • Safe operation of all warehouse machinery
  • Machine replenishment of various sections in the warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor which may be required to complete all aspects of the day to day operations of the shift
Requirements:
  • Good attendance record is a requirement
  • Experience with driving warehouse machinery or willingness to learn required
  • Complete required operational checks for lifts when required
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including walking, standing, bending, and lifting
  • ***A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, etc. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without difficulty on a consistent basis is needed
