Job Description

Driver File ClerkMidland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers. Our services include LTL, T/L, and Courier Services and provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.Midland Transport is currently seeking a “File Clerk” reporting to the driver Services Unit in Head Office. In this role, you will play a key role in working on driver file clearance, creating driver’s code etc. You will take a proactive approach to managing driver data and reducing the risk of noncompliance.We will consider you the best fit if you possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • AS400 Experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to speak and write fluently in English & French (asset)
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • Previous transportation experience (asset)
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Driver file clearance – ensuring all driver applications and supporting documents are completed correctly as per the Company hiring standards.
  • Creating of driver codes within the following systems: AS400, EBE, Omnitracs, XRS, Shiptracks and Carriers Edge.
  • Knowledge and understanding DOT and Federal Regulations.
  • Ensuring all systems are updated with correct driver information. Removal or adding drivers into the systems.
  • Scanning all completed driver files into EBE system.
  • Monthly audits of systems.
  • All other administrative duties as assigned.
