Job Description

Essential Position Functions: · Repeated and continuous lifting of packages up to 60lbs· Sort package based on customer, airport destination, and other parameters· Handle customer packages and freight with due care and attention· Ensure all safety and security protocols are adhered to· Communicate piece counts, and package information to Lead Hands and Supervisors· Perform tasks associated with Dangerous Good Handling· Meet time sensitive deadlines for freight build-up/breakdown as part of a team dynamic· Learn and apply specific training modules required for position (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention, etc.)· Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions· Working in and around aircraft dailyPerform other duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to lit up to 60lbs repeatedly
  • Flexible to work shift work, weekends and stat holidays
  • Ability to learn quickly, and adapt to fast changing customer requirements
  • Must be trained on Kargomine system (if required), Dangerous Goods( if required), relevant health and safety courses, WHMIS, SMS and applicable Security Training
  • Must have valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation, as some shift will start during off hours of public transportation
  • Able to obtain a RAIC Pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance)
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance habits
