Were looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our team !POSITION SUMMARYLaundry attendants provide excellent guest service to all hotel guests while providing them with clean and comfortable linen during their stay and assisting housekeepers with their needs. Evening shift during week days and or weekends.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESOperate, clean, and maintain laundry daily.Fill linen closets with clean laundry.Sort and separate soiled linens.Perform additional tasks when required by your supervisor.EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCEMust have excellent communication skills.Knowledge of laundry chemicals (WHMIS).Knowledge of cleaning equipment.Time management and priority setting skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING CONDITIONSLift or move up to 50 lbs.Stand for up to eight hours+Wear rubber, latex, or vinyl gloves.Shift and weekend work required.To be successful in this role you must have the ability to work safely with various pieces of equipment (ex - sheet press, washers, dryers, etc..) as well as with chemicals and various other pieces of cleaning equipment.Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours much of which is spent standing. Medium work -- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, ability to multi task. Possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels.Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range. Must possess the ability to convey and understand information and ideas in English. Ability to be organized and recognize when linen closets need replenishment. Capable of working alone and on a timed scheduleBenefits:
