Job Description

Inventory AnalystUniversal Truck and Trailer is Atlantic Canadas largest Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer dealership featuring the most up-to-date dealer service bays in Southern New Brunswick. We are an authorized sales, service, parts & warranty dealership for premium products including Freightliner and Western Star. In addition, we service all makes and models for class 6, 7 and 8 vehicles, including luxury class RVs.We are looking for an analytical, data savvy, team player who is passionate about numbers, details and keeping things organized, ultimately contributing to great experiences for our customers. We are willing to provide training for the candidate with the right attitude and required qualifications. Key focuses of the role would include, 1. Owning database/ERP accuracy and quality 2. Replenishing inventory for multiple stores 3. Identifying slow, excessive, inventory and performing activities to minimize it.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and improving parts ERP system data accuracy and quality
  • Generate vendor stock orders and conduct replenishment activities
  • Monitor inter-store product transfers for improvements and coordinates movement of strategic and surplus inventory between branches
  • Manage order escalations and back-order communication
  • Maintain vendor relationships including timely, regular contact with vendors and suppliers to resolve problems and improve costs
  • Responsible for the analysis and coordination of vendor product returns and other activities to minimize obsolete, unclaimed special orders, excess and slow-moving inventory
  • Monitors and report on consignment inventories
  • Collaborate with Warehouse team to improve inventory management
  • Support physical cycle counts and year-end inventory counts, investigating variances and resolve issues
  • Generate ad-hoc reports to support business decisions and assist with purchasing team KPI reporting
Qualifications:
  • Comfortable with using large data sets and intermediate level MS Excel
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new applications
  • Post-Secondary Education would be considered an asset
  • Supply Chain / Procurement Experience would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of purchasing, sales, and wholesale processes
  • Process Improvement mindset
  • Must be an independent self-starter, but have the ability to collaborate when needed
