Job Description

Founded in 1994, Amico Construction is one of the leading construction management companies in New Brunswick. Our specialty is multi residential and commercial projects with the primary focus remaining the same: transparency, competence, trust, and accountability for our clients.We currently have an opening at our office in Dieppe, NB for a Project Manager.Position: Project ManagerResponsibilities:

  • Manage multi-residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, to understand the required scopes of work for each project division.
  • Closely work with project design team and consultants throughout the duration of the project.
  • Project start up and site mobilization.
  • Prepare and manage project schedule throughout project to achieve milestones.
  • Project tendering, quote reviews and negotiations with sub-contractors.
  • Schedule bi-weekly project coordination meetings for the duration of the project.
  • Schedule meetings with clients to provide an update on schedule and budget.
  • Issuing of purchase order and contracts to the successful sub-contractors.
  • Review change orders with client and issue sub-contract change order (SCO) to sub-contractors.
  • Manage and update construction budget until project completion.
  • Review and approve monthly claims to clients.
  • Review and approve sub-contractors’ invoices to clients.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to site employees, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Complete commissioning with all parties involved and prepare documentation packages to receive building occupancy.
  • Project closeout.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management and construction.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Degree in Engineering Technology.
  • Valid drivers’ license.
