Job Description

Quality Assurance Co-op -Tissue Dieppe - Winter 2023At Irving Tissue, we recognize that the key to our success is our people. Irving Tissue produces both branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, and napkins. Consumers know us by our Majesta and Royale brands.The Quality Assurance Co-op will be based out of Dieppe, New Brunswick (102 Dawson Avenue, E1A 0C1). This is a temporary student position. The primary language of work is English.We have an excellent student program at Irving Tissue with formal and informal opportunities to meet and network with people from all across the business, including other students. This is a great experience that will provide you with real, valuable work experience that will allow you to challenge yourself and learn from industry-leading professionals!Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in Engineering Degree (Chem Eng preferred; others may be considered)
  • Strong computer skills and statistical analysis (MS Excel, Minitab/SigmaXL)
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Meet or exceed strict deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and communicate information effectively and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
  • Product & process quality improvement initiatives/projects
  • Leading or participating in the development of trial products and studies
  • Conducting product testing and data analysis
  • Analysis of data related to quality checks, quality parameters, and action plans
  • Other duties as assigned
