Job Description

Founded in 1994, Amico Construction is one of the leading construction management companies in New Brunswick. Our specialty is multi residential and commercial projects with the primary focus remaining the same: transparency, competence, trust, and accountability for our clients.We currently have an opening at our office in Dieppe, NB for a Site Superintendent.Position: Site SuperintendentResponsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the project master schedule.
  • Create and manage 3 week lookahead schedules to ensure project stays on track.
  • Review drawings and identify any possible issues, send RFIs when required.
  • Supervise and coordinate all construction activities to ensure that the work is completed on time and on budget.
  • Ensure all work completed is in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Perform quantity take offs and order materials as needed.
  • Complete daily reports highlighting job status, site condition and head counts.
  • Hold weekly sub-contractor coordination meetings.
  • Promptly inform the Project Coordinator and Project Manager of any anticipated delays or changes in the scope of work.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure quality control.
  • Attend bi-weekly sub-contractor project manager meetings.
  • Track progress and fill out weekly progress reports
  • Maintain as-built drawings on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site to ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
  • Promote site safety and security to all workers and sub-contractors.
  • Collect safety paperwork from all trades on a weekly basis.
  • Perform site orientations for all trades on site.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid drivers license.
