Job Description

Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Hybrid Work Available)Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers. Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third Party Logistics/ Brokerage which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.Midland Transport is currently seeking a Full-Time Talent Acquisition Coordinator based out of our Head Office in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.Who You Are:

  • Education Required: Post-secondary education in a related field (business, administration, or human resources preferred)
  • Experience Required: <2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices and technologies, and human resources procedures
  • Previous experience creating and maintaining reports in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to utilize emerging technologies and social media platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to set priorities, manage time efficiently, and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multitask and understand changing priorities
  • Ability to speak languages other than English is a strong asset (e.g. French, Ukrainian)
What You Will Do:
  • Support the recruitment lifecycle, including posting requisitions, screening candidates, conducting pre-employment assessments, completing reference checks, and processing immigration documentation.
  • Leverage social and digital campaigns to promote the Midland brand and attract qualified candidates.
  • Enter candidate information into the applicant tracking system and leverage reports which enable business leaders to make key decisions.
  • Support the newcomer assistance strategy which includes support pre-arrival, upon arrival, and post-arrival, focusing on integration into the community and the Company, resulting in retention.
  • Liaise between candidates, new hires, hiring managers, and HR business partners to ensure a positive candidate and employee experience.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs and other recruitment events as required.
  • Keep up with industry market trends.
