The perfect place for the creative child!At the Dollard Fine Arts Summer Camp, our 5 to 14-year-old campers are encouraged to explore different worlds and imagine the possibilities. Talented instructors and counsellors are always there to help guide them towards smart and thoughtful choices, whether in the art studios with paintbrushes and paper or outdoors with their friends.With activities ranging from the visual and performing arts (Fine Art, Music, Dance and Theatre) to outdoor playtime (Games and Nature Walks) and daily Red Cross Certified Indoor Swimming Lessons, the Dollard Centre for the Arts offers kids a chance to create the magic and memories that summer camp brings.JOIN THE TEAM!Currently recruiting: Social IntegratorOf interest to individuals pursuing studies in or with work experience in childcare and special needs assistance, this position invites candidates to make sure the atmosphere at camp is a happy one. They help build the self-esteem of campers and give them tools to find more constructive solutions to the problems that undoubtedly arise among children. This position is created to work with individual children that require extra aid in order to enjoy and function in the camp environment. Candidates should be patient, kind, and have experience with neuro-diverse children. Training is provided.The DDO Fine Arts Summer Camp runs for 4 consecutive 2-week sessions from June 27 to August 19, 2022 and includes a preparatory week from June 20 to June 23. The program runs Monday to Friday from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, and staff can choose to work in an extended-hours program (7 am to 6 pm) for additional wages.With the financial assistance of AlterGo’s PALÎM grant, helping to provide children with special needs the opportunity to experience summer camp, the hourly wage is $16.00/hour.
