Job Description

MyGoal Performance Hockey is a high-end hockey and athlete training facility comprising of two training ice rinks, a gym and a lounge. We are looking for a friendly experienced individual to join our Team. MyGoal has an opening for a permanent part-time Arena/Facility Maintenance position.Job descriptionThe Arena Maintenance position maintains the facility, is responsible for the quality of the ice surfaces, and supervises the activities of the general public and user groups at the arena.Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance of the facility and ice surfaces
  • Ice re-surfacing and maintenance [Zamboni]
  • Cleaning of washrooms and all common areas of the facility
  • Assist in the collection of facility revenue
  • Perform other related duties as assigned – maintenance and upkeep related
  • Responsible for supervising the use of the facility, and keeping a safe and clean facility during a scheduled shift
  • Open up and close the building; secure the facility
Skills/ Education Required
  • High School education – minimum
  • Because of the responsibilities of this position, applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness and ability to learn is an asset
  • Experience with maintenance of various types of equipment preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent customer service, effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff
