Job Description

Horizon Retirement Management's residences welcome autonomous seniors, those with loss of autonomy and/or neurocognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease. Our mission is to offer seniors a progressive living environment, combined with personalized care and services, within the framework of responsible management.Main tasks:

  • Plan the calendar of activities and the monthly journal, in collaboration with management;
  • Disseminate the calendar of activities and the newspaper to the residents;
  • Promote the activities to the residents;
  • Ensure the logistics of the activities;
  • Ensure the logistics and decoration of the premises during special events;
  • Make the necessary purchases related to the activities, according to the allocated budgets;
  • Organize outings and special events;
  • Greet residents and have them participate in activities;
  • Animate and supervise during activities;
  • Ensuring that the activities correspond to the needs and tastes of the residents;
  • Collaborate with the different departments of the residence to facilitate the work of all;
  • Invite different musicians for performances;
  • Perform any other task related to the duties.
Qualities and profile sought:
  • Possess a diploma in recreation techniques or experience deemed equivalent;
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the field of recreation;
  • Affinity and passion for working with seniors;
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher and the Internet;
  • Fluency in French and English (mandatory).
