Job Description

Are you someone who thrives on interpersonal interactions and possesses a genuine enthusiasm for the private aviation industry, where you have the opportunity to connect with diverse and intriguing individuals If so, we #39;d love to hear from you and explore how you can join our team as a Line Aircraft Maintenance Leader at Starlink Aviation, where you #39;ll enjoy an experienced and dynamic team, competitive salary, flexible schedule, and a full range of benefits!The Line Maintenance Leader is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily maintenance activities for the AMO jointly with the moderate and heavy maintenance coordinator.The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the maintenance of all aircraft of Starlink fleet for daily maintenance tasks and ensuring that they are ready for flight operations. Those daily maintenance tasks are, but not limited to:
  • Managing Service and Base Check,
  • Managing configuration change,
  • Managing updating A/C flight databases,
  • Performing quick visual inspection (Ex: Fire extinguisher, life vests, flashlight, smoke google, first aid kit, chip detector, etc…),
  • Managing tire and brake replacement,
  • Performing DEEC download, FHDB download, APU read out, etc...
  • Lubrification activities,
  • Weight and balance,
  • Batteries, CVR and FDR removal and installation for testing or inspection,
  • Other daily tasks.
Overseeing departure and arrival with available technicians on site; Handling of AOGs (Aircraft on Ground) and deployment outside; or unscheduled maintenance; Mid-term planning (+/- 75 hrs) on specific medevac A/C only, to ensure proper and fast operation; Act as a liaison with all departments by coordinating with other departments within the company, such as flight operations, customer services and sales to ensure that all maintenance activities are integrated into the overall operations of the AMO; Identifying and resolving maintenance issues, including troubleshooting, and working with aircraft fleet manager to develop solutions; Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with MPM, MCM and safety procedures; Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, work orders, and inspection reports; Monitoring of MEL’s (Minimum Equipment List); Updating next due maintenance item in logbook; Managing personnel schedule and control overtime (excluding performance evaluation and disciplinary measures) ; Monitoring Recurrent Defect and advise PRMCS ; Maintain an organized and clean working environment ; Monitoring of oil consumption ; Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and use only approved equipment and materials provided by the company. Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada AME (M, E or S) license;
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations;
  • Perform duties according to aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals;
  • Experience or knowledge of Corridor (an asset);
  • Knowledge of MS office suite;
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC);
  • License car class 5;
  • Valid passport.
