We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.In your role, you will- Participate in design and sizing activities for R amp;T projects from concept to entry into service:- Participate in structure design (metallicamp; composite) and/or system installation design- Carry out stress activities to define and size major systems or structural interfaces, FEA and analytical hand calculations for example- Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and trade studies- Prepare stress reports and formal compliance documents- Participate in problem solving activities and provide technical solutions- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams: aerodynamics, structure design, systems architecture, etc.- Liaise with suppliers, internal and external- Provide visibility to management as neededAs our ideal candidate- You have a bachelor #39;s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering- You have a minimum of 5 years of structural analysis experience in static, for primary structures and system components (metallic and composite)- You are proficient in using software packages such as MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Altair Hyper Works, LS-DYNA as well as CATIAv5 or NX, and the MS Software Suite (MSWord, MS Excel)- You have knowledge in object-oriented programming methods. Python is an asset- You have knowledge in design and manufacturing processes of the aerospace industry- You have a good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes- You are autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethics- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience.
