Job Description

Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. publicly listed with a business objective to build a diversified midstream and infrastructure company in the North American natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil, refined product, and renewable space. Its strategy is to profitably grow and create shareholder value through the acquisition and development of oil and gas infrastructure. Tidewater plans to achieve its business objective by providing customers with a full service, vertically integrated value chain, including gas plants, pipelines, railcars, export terminals, storage, downstream facilities, and various renewable initiatives.Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Plant Operator. This is a full-time position based out of our Brazeau River Complex. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.Plant OperatorSummary of Responsibilities:

  • Partakes in plant safety programs
  • Ensures all maintenance within their area of control is being carried out in a safe manner and work procedures are being followed, including Safe Work Authorization, Hazard Assessment and LOTO
  • All tasks executed in a knowledgeable and safe manner
  • Involved in the development and writing of plant standard, critical, and safe operating procedures
  • Makes regular checks of all equipment in his area to check operating parameters and to ensure safety regulations are being observed
  • Assists the other operators in the Plant as required
Specific Accountabilities:
  • Receives direction from the Control Room operator on a continuous basis on all abnormal situations or major operating changes. Handles all unit duties with very little supervision. On specific situations may receive direction from Shift Foreman or Chief Steam Engineer.
  • Will make recommendations to senior operators or supervisor on technical operating matters for improved operating efficiency and safety.
  • Leadership of Junior operators as required
Qualifications:
  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess at a minimum a 4th class power engineering certificate
  • Minimum three years experience in gas plant operations, preferably with sour gas experience.
  • Consideration will be given to those with similar industrial steam plant and processing experience.
  • You are a strong team player, capable of working closely with a variety of groups but also a self-starter who is capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working a rotating 12 hour shift schedule.
  • Applicants must possess:
  • current H2S, Standard First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certification.
  • a valid driver’s license and provide a driver abstract upon request
