Job Description

WHAT TO EXPECTHave you always been interested in the field of quality Are you rigorous, meticulous and organized Do you want to advance in a growing company where action is the order of the day With Soucy Rubbers growth, we are looking for 2 quality inspectors to join our great family.Your main mandate will be to perform quality controls on receipts, tracks in process and/or finished products by visual and dimensional inspections. You will also have to participate in the non-conformity process.

  • Inspect and measure production tracks
  • Inspect and measure development tracks
  • Inspect raw materials
  • Verify parts assembly and military assemblies
  • Publish statistics related to quality and production
  • Ensure verification of supplier certificates and inspection reports against SPQ content and technical drawings
  • Audit operators to ensure compliance with control plans
  • Issue and analyze non-conformance reports (NCR)
  • Coordinate and calibrate measuring and testing equipment
  • Manage defective manufactured parts
  • Collaborate in the maintenance and application of the ISO 9001 standard related to quality assurance
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the immediate superior
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience in quality control (1 to 3 years) and interest in developing in this field
  • 3 X 12 hour night shift on one of these 2 formulas: DLM from 7pm to 7am + 1 Saturday per month or MJV from 7pm to 7am + 1 Saturday per month
  • Shift premiums equivalent to $3.75/hour
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and metrology
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge or notions of the ISO 9001 standard
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and autonomy
  • Able to make quick decisions
  • Proficiency with vernier, micrometer and torque wrench
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical and statistical calculations
  • Document writing skills, verbal communication skills
