Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedLocation: Dryden, ONAs a Flagger, You Will:

  • Protect workers in the construction zone by directing and controlling traffic using approved signage
  • Give traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists and pedestrians understand their meaning and are safety directed around the construction site
  • Set up and takedown work zones
  • Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task for your fellow employees and general public
  • Notify supervisors of unsafe or changing scenarios
  • Ability to perform physical labour
  • Other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring:
  • Previous construction experience will be considered an asset
  • Ability to cope with regular hazards in a construction environment – inclement weather, dust, noise etc.
  • Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 23 kg/50lbs
  • The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Effective team player
  • Willingness to work extended hours, days, nights, and weekends as assigned
