Warehouse Transportation Handler Career Opportunity!Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Warehouse Transportation Handler for our Dryden store located at 60 Van Horne Ave.As a Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate compliance with teams and provide support related to visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick-ups, movement of goods & merchandising. You will be responsible for store maintenance and all product movement. You will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our customers.Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is committed to investing in our team members; we offer:Market competitive wages;Comprehensive benefits plan and excellent employee discounts;Employer Sponsored Retirement Savings Plan;Career growth and continuous development;Respectful and family-oriented working environment with strong company values.As the Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will:Receive product, product returns, accessories and supplies, prepares outbound shipmentsPrepare product for delivery or floor placementMaintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floorGeneral store internal maintenance (i.e. light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage).Safely and efficiently perform loading and unloading activities related to the Company’s delivery serviceMaintain routines needed to ensure the efficient operation of the vehicleSafely and efficiently drive the scheduled route, keeping to schedule and while providing exceptional customer serviceDeliver product to customer’s home following Company’s policies and proceduresAssemble product in customer’s home when requiredConduct all activities in a safe, courteous manner with every effort put forward to minimize damage to product and to the customers’ homeUnderstand and follow all safe work practices and rulesAbility to communicate with DCD (Delivery Completion Data) personnel upon completion of each delivery that communication is requiredAbide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations as it pertains to commercial truck DriversAbility to communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truckPerform daily pre and post-trip inspectionsKeep warehouse area and sales floor organized and cleanMaintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e. grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness)As a successful candidate you will have the following:High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experienceExperience with hand tools an assetAbility to speak with customers and co-workers at a conversational levelMust be able to read item numbers and product descriptions on delivery paperworkPerform simple written paperwork recording6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experienceAble to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)Physically fit, able to lift and move objects greater than 100 lbsAble to work in extreme temperaturesSafety footwear requiredValid Class 5 Driver’s license with clean Driver’s abstractCriminal Record Check requiredThe Dufresne “Better Experience” is for everyone.
