Job Description

Vix Technology is a market leader in providing transit riders around the world a better passenger journey through a seamless and cashless journey. Numerous customers (transit agencies) and hundreds of thousands of their customers (transit riders) rely on Vix systems to travel on public transit every day.The Vix team in Edmonton is responsible for supporting the operations of the regional transit service in the Edmonton region. This is an opportunity to be a part of a dedicated team that provides services to all of the 7 cities participating in the Arc regional transit system. These municipalities provide coordinated transit services to the entire Edmonton area.The Administrative Assistant position offers an opportunity to join an industry leader in automated fare collection and intelligent transportation systems at an entry level and learn how technology can be leveraged to improve transportation systems. This is a 15-20 hour part-time contract position located on-site in Edmonton. Please note: you #39;ll need full Canadian work rights to be eligible for consideration, Vix does not offer sponsorship for this role.What You #39;ll Be Doing:

  • Fare Medial fulfillments - CSWP, SFDC, FPWP - Download, sort, assemble/fold, check and process card and ticket media orders via mailing and/or courier
  • Assist in inventory counting and reconciliation
  • Assist with Customers escalated cases from the Call Center - refunds/reimbursements cases
  • Review financial transactions and assist in reconciliation of revenue, sales channels, customer travel, and bank records
  • Coordinate with VSB staff to set priorities and meet daily, weekly and monthly activity deadlines and service level agreements
  • Review service tickets for timeliness and completeness and follow up on outstanding items to help ensure response to issues meet established SLAs
  • Travel on buses/LRT to assist in testing of new software functionality and fixes.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Attention to detail for accurate mail and order processing.
  • Understanding of card transactions on the transit system.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and desire for team success.
  • High school diploma required; accounting experience (AP/AR) preferred.
  • Strong time management and deadline planning skills.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal direction.
  • Quick learner with a desire for improvement and feed
  • Demonstrated multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Collaboration with diverse stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible working hours based on seasonal demands.
  • Knowledge of transit or public agency industry.
