You are team oriented, motivated person with an attention for details. You will play a key role at one of our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of a remote camp. This position reports to the Camp Manager, or Operations ManagerResponsibilities:·Framing, forming, finishing, and installation as needed.·Preparation and site clean-up, including rubbish removal.·Proficient with building code regulations as it relates to work-site building construction and repairs.·Assist in the completion of all necessary documentation as per process / protocol to ensure cost effectiveness and budget allocation.·Provide quality workmanship consistent with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.·Understand the basics of reading and interpreting blueprints.·Participate in daily Toolbox meetings. ·Support monthly worksite inspections.·Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.·Notify Manager of unsafe practices and unsafe environment.·Report all incidents and accidents immediately.·Actively participate as a high performing, team member.Requirements·Minimum of three (3) years working in a construction field/camp position.·Certified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) or relative trade experience.·Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.·Ability to work a rotational schedule. ·Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.·Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.·Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.·Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift.Benefits$450-$550 per day, depending on experience, All travel paid, including travel days and per diems when deployed to certain field projects.
