Job Description

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is a recognized leader in the Civil Construction, Earthmoving, and Open Space/ Landscaping sector, proud to be part of the Whimase Group of Companies, which has been operational for over four decades. We specialize in a range of services including park construction, sports facility development, environmental works, and civil earthworks, delivering complex and high-quality projects to our valued clients.We are seeking committed and skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team, with work being completed primarily in the Edmonton area. Our fleet consists mainly of CAT equipment, well-maintained and equipped to handle various tasks. Operators are required for:

  • Excavators
  • Loaders
  • Skid-Steers
  • Graders (GPS experience preferred)
  • Dozers (GPS experience preferred)
The Heavy Equipment Operators will be responsible for:
  • Performing pre-operation inspections and completing necessary maintenance checks on heavy machinery.
  • Operating heavy equipment safely and effectively to complete grading, excavating, and other tasks as required.
  • Engaging in direct communication with team members and supervisors to ensure project needs are met.
  • Working collaboratively in diverse and dynamic environments while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Experience operating multiple types of machinery is considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform finish grading and interpret survey stakes accurately.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Capable of adapting to varying job site conditions and challenges.
  • Must hold a valid driver #39;s license and have reliable transportation.
  • CSTS and Ground Disturbance certification are a condition of employment.
