Reporting to the Accounts Payable and Card Lead, you are primarily accountable for reconciling and posting entries while supporting the Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting teams. As a Junior Accountant I and an integral member of the accounting team, you are a problem solver with strong communication and time-management skills, ensuring variances are identified and deadlines are met.More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Provide support for various accounts payable functions, including supporting the processing of bonds of indemnity and official cheques, recurring entries, fraud write-offs, reviewing large vendor invoices, and payments made to the CRA.
    • Assist with various ad hoc accounting operation entries and analysis as required.
    • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as required.
    RequirementsTo qualify, you will need at least the following:
    • Certification: Working towards an accounting certificate or diploma is considered an asset.
    • Experience: 2+ years working within an accounting team.An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
