Job Description

Our work spans the mining, energy, and heavy industrial sectors, providing exposure to diverse projects and the chance to collaborate with a high-achieving, multidisciplinary team.Position Overview:As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that projects meet all engineering and operational standards. This includes preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, developing specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting project planning and execution. You’ll also work closely with the Project Manager to define project scope, budget, and schedule, while coordinating with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Review, prepare, and approve engineering designs and specifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective delivery
  • Monitor technical progress and resolve issues proactively
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
  • Prepare regular progress reports and forecasting documentation
  • Manage personnel, materials, and equipment allocation
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Project Involvement Includes:
  • Purchasing and commissioning of a new dredge
  • Managing operational and procurement requirements for new and existing dredges
  • Oversight of two diesel dredge relocations
  • Planning and execution of one electric dredge move
  • Coordination of two electric barge refurbishments and relocations
  • Involvement in multi-disciplinary engineering efforts
  • Execution of large infrastructure moves
The role takes place on site, work schedule is Monday to Thursday 10 hour days, flight and accommodations provided.   • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline)
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred or eligibility to obtain
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial or infrastructure project environments
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle, engineering standards, and construction practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
