Job Description

Wilco Contractors Northwest are looking to add wide variety of qualified applicants to our Underground Wateramp; Sewer team. Current Opportunities include:

  • Foremen
  • Pipelayer
  • Topman
  • Experienced Wateramp; Sewer Labourers
Duties Include:
  • Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
  • Laying pipe to design grade and ensuring proper tamping of pipe.
  • Gathering material and installation tools.
  • Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
  • Removing old or broken piping systems.
  • Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers.
  • Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
  • Installing auxiliary lines.
  • Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
  • Filling and sealing pipe trenches.

  • Proven work experience as a Pipelayer.
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience as either a Pipelayer or skilled Labourer in a utility installation setting.
  • Knowledge of sewer systems, storm drains, and water mains.
  • Possess a minimum valid Class 5 driver #39;s license with reliable vehicle.
  • CSTS2020 is a condition of Employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and city maps.
  • Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects frequently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
