Class 1 Truck Driver Class 1 Truck Driver Location: Edmonton Area Shift: Monday to Friday: ImmediateWe are a reputable company serving the Edmonton area, specializing in the safe and efficient transportation of goods. As our operations continue to expand, we are currently seeking a skilled Class 1 Truck Driver with experience to join our team.As a Class 1 Truck Driver with experience, you will be responsible for the transportation and delivery of goods within the Edmonton area. You will operate a Class 1 commercial truck to safely and efficiently transport various materials and equipment to designated locations.Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 commercial truck to transport goods and materials.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects or malfunctions.
  • Follow established routes and schedules, while adapting to any changes or detours as necessary.
  • Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe driving experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and resolve any issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the truck and Trailer, ensuring they are in proper working order.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service while representing the company.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valid Class 1 commercial driver #39;s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with the Edmonton area and surrounding regions.
  • Excellent driving skills, including maneuvering in various weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset.
