Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a Business Sales Advisor, in a retail location, at GBS Technology, you will take ownership of the sales process for customers on the retail sales floor as well as customers you prospect for with warm outbound calls. You will generate leads and hunt for your own book of business. You will be responsible for proactively building relationships within SMB accounts. Your goal will be to Support Business Accounts, focusing on technology solutions aligned to our client’s core business objectives. Services such as wireline, wireless, security, Business Connect along with IT Services all need to be addressed and explored within the client’s business strategies. We provide our customers a myriad of solutions including Mobility by TELUS, IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, printers, and security products and services. This is an individually contributing sales position that requires a high-activity sales model and a hunter mentality. We are seeking sales professionals, who have successfully prospected, developed, and maintained accounts in a Business-to-Business consultative selling environment, and who have a desire to move into or continue to grow in the information technology field. A successful individual will be managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing new accounts.Background & Experience:

  • Technical Business-to-Business (B2B) sales knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills adapted to virtual type of sales
  • Ability to think and act strategically, including navigation through all levels of a client or prospect organization
  • Selecting and qualifying profitable opportunities
  • Ability to deliver on growth and profitability
  • Demonstrated success managing both short and long-term selling cycles while effectively and consistently applying a multi-step selling process/methodology
  • Evidence of selling and effectively managing customer relationships
  • 2-5+ years of successful sales experience, IT or telecommunications industry
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience; sales experience blended with new business development
  • Experience with, or an affinity for, volunteerism and community involvement
  • Confidence and desire to make a target number of cold calls
  • Bi-lingual in French and English
Responsibilities:
  • Be confident and flexible to assist on the sales floor when required
  • Provide walk in customer support
  • Open and close the store and be available to work any shift the retail store requires
  • Proactively practice your sales techniques with your store teammates
  • Coach and be coached in the art of the sale
  • Desire to grow as a sales professional through coaching and mentorship
  • Be motivated to overachieve the minimum expectation and goals and challenge your team mates in contest and incentives
  • Promote and sell wireless & wireline services, security systems, and Business Connect over the phone and by using technology tools
  • Actively prospect for potential Small Business Solutions customers, 1-50 employees
  • Build trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Understand current and prospective customers communication needs, business issues, and buying motives
  • Conducts needs analysis for clients wireless, wireline services & IT Services.
  • Deliver the right solution for clients evolving business requirements with prompt and efficient service
  • Own executive-level client relationships, strategic business planning and service delivery
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts, funnel hygiene, target/objective updates to deliver on all territory plans and team annual targets
  • Utilize client business plan to create account plans
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by leading the account team to drive real and long-standing business value
  • Work with technical team to ensure the solutions design is deliverable and will meet stakeholders as well as client needs
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, agreements, and supporting documentation as required
