Job Description

NOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application. JOB SUMMARY : The incumbent is responsible take out, distribute, retrieve, assemble, verify, analyze and file patient charts for patients who are hospitalized or seen in the emergency department and external clinics. He/she is also responsible for filing of loose sheets in the patients’ charts. C.C.: These are just the main duties of the position. Where appropriate, related tasks may be assigned from time to time to ensure the smooth operation of the service. REQUIREMENTS : Successful completion of a Medical Secretarial course or post-secondary studies (minimum one year) in secretarial work with additional training in medical terminology; Good computer knowledge and office software and ability to apply it; Ability to work with the hospital management system (Meditech); Personality promoting good public relations, as well as a calm and flexible character; Discretion and sense of responsibility; Adaptability and ability to withstand tense situations at times; Brief description of the coveted job and explanation of interest in the job; Ability to work independently and as a team member; Physical ability to perform assigned duties; Good previous work history (performance and attendance); Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values; Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
