Workplace: Alt Hotel HalifaxStatus: Full time (permanent)Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday (weekends occasionally) -Directly linked to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Alt Hotel Halifax is a welcoming oasis for when you need to re-energize.JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Meetings and Banquets Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout catering and meeting operations, according to established sales strategies. They will work closely with the restaurant and Banquets team. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate on a daily basis with the Business Development Manager.WHAT WE OFFER :

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES :
  • Assist in answering calls, forwarding Meetings and Banquet sales e-mails and correspondence
  • Ensure highest quality of client satisfaction utilizing Opera Sales and Catering.
  • Prepare letters, proposals, memos and other documents related to the Banquet and Meetings department
  • Track all aspects of conference from rooming lists, deposit schedules, meeting room requirements, and follow up.
  • Verify and prepare all invoices for all meeting and group blocks that take place in the hotel
  • Prepares all BEO’s for all operational departments each week
  • Handle all sales inquiries when sales managers are unavailable.
  • Prepare month end statistical reports as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Updates all reader boards in the hotel
  • Update all internal daily communication reports
  • Orders all stationary supplies for the hotel and controls inventories
  • Book all internal meetings and training bookings
  • Liaise with reservations and accounting concerning room blocks and deposits
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Previous experience as Coordinator, Reservations or Guest Services
  • Organizational skill
  • Fluency in English verbal and written a must, French an asset
