Job Description

Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. The CFO will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company. The chosen candidate will also prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by regulatory agencies.CFO Responsibilities:

  • Implement high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Hiring of new staff members when necessary.
  • Supervision, training and development of support team, and providing direction to staff members on workflow management.
  • Reviewing all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Preparing quarterly compliance certificates, reporting packages for the bank, and ratio calculations.
  • Facilitating financing, preparing proposals and liaising with banks and lawyers for potential expansions/acquisitions.
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
  • Maintain and update the business plan, budget, and projections for all the various operations.
  • Strategic business partner who will forecast potential business scenarios including cash flow forecast, covenant forecasts, ROI calculation and tax calculations.
CFO Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, masters degree, or MBA.
  • Professional accounting designation in good standing required.
  • Experience in a senior management position required.
  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting.
  • Experience with corporate governance.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of organizational behaviors.
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
