Job Description

Innovate to solve the world #39;s most important challengesKey Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Fire Alarm System inspections in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize system downtime.
  • Collaborate and provide support to fellow Fire Alarm Technicians.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of ULC Fire Alarm Codes, especially in conjunction with addressable Fire Alarm systems, offering complete client support.
  • Successfully complete all product-related training provided by Honeywell.
  • Be available for travel as needed.
  • Possess proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and CAD programs.
  • Offer technical support for Automation initiatives across the site.
  • Cultivate transparent, ongoing communication with the client #39;s facilities team, swiftly identifying and addressing concerns or issues.
  • Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills, enabling the clear conveyance of technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Install, maintain, and repair both new and existing Fire/BAS/Server equipment and components as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications accurately to determine precise installation and/or maintenance requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, recognizing their relevance to industrial building automation.
  • Hold a fundamental understanding of plant process operations in energy, Oilamp; Gas, and oil sands sites.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Technical background, technologist.
  • CFAA Certification (or willing to obtain it FastTrack)
  • Valid driver #39;s license.
