Job Description

Adecco is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Packaging professionals. As a Packaging team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, and you #39;ll contribute to efficient packaging processes.

  • Pay rate: $16.55/hour.
  • Location: Belleville, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday
    • Days: 6:30am - 2:30pm
    • Afternoons: 2:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare packaging materials such as boxes, cartons, bags, or containers, ensuring they meet quality standards and are free from defects.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Check for defects, damage, or any other issues before packaging.
  • Safely and efficiently package products according to specific guidelines, taking into consideration the product type, size, weight, and packaging materials. This may include manual or automated packaging processes.
  • Apply labels, barcodes, or other identifying information to packaged products as required.
  • Monitor packaging equipment to ensure it functions correctly and makes adjustments or reports issues to maintenance when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including the quantity and type of products packaged, materials used, and any quality control checks.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep the packaging area clean and organized and perform routine maintenance on packaging machinery.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as production staff, quality control, and warehouse personnel, to ensure smooth operations and efficient packaging processes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of packaging materials and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness, as the job may involve standing, lifting, and operating machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them.
  • Some jobs may require specialized training or certifications, depending on the industry (e.g., food handling, hazardous materials).
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
