Counter Salesperson - Permanent Full Time - Fredericton Bird Stairs, one of the largest independent multi division distributors in Atlantic Canada is growing and looking for someone to grow with us. The ideal candidate would have a background in the trades or has worked or is currently working for a plumbing, electrical, HVAC or construction products distributor. We are not looking for a run of the mill order taker. Our team is seeking a motivated, energetic customer-oriented problem solver. Someone that builds endurable relationships, thinks outside the box and takes initiative will succeed in our organization and find career growth opportunities.As a successful counter salesperson, you would be thequot;go to person quot; for our valued customers. While our customers count on us to have products on our shelves, they also count on us to track down technical data, resolve product issues, provide demonstrations and help them find a better mouse trap.Responsibilities:Greeting customers, taking orders and assisting them in any way possible with their purchaseOngoing learning to increase product knowledge to inform and increase salesCalling customers when orders are ready for pick-upEntering orders and expediting to ensure customer deadlines are metProcessing paymentsPicking customer orders from stock in the warehouseAdditional job duties may include stocking shelves, taking inventory, marking price tags, setting up displays, and cleaning the customer area during quiet times to ensure a neat appearanceQualifications:Plumbing and or electrical knowledge would be an assetHigh school diploma or GEDGood communication skillsSales and customer service experienceSupportive team playerCompensation and BenefitsSalary and vacation based upon experience.Group Benefits Plan including Blue CrossCompany pension planIf interested, please send your resume to Shawna McCoy smccoy@birdstairs.comJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
