Job DescriptionCompany DescriptionOur client ensures the functionality, enhancement, and support of health sector applications for various stakeholders, delivering optimized solutions to meet evolving business needs in the healthcare environment.Reporting Structure:Report to the Manager - Health Application Services Duration/Effort:Full-time contract engagement for 12 months, starting March 11, 2024, and ending on March 07, 2025 (260 days). Potential for extension up to 6 months.Work Location and Travel:Designated office in Fredericton, NB, with potential for remote work. Travel outside Fredericton not expected. Candidates must be located within the province. Supplied Devices:Our client will provide necessary technology devices.Job DescriptionDeliverables:

  • Support Provincial Health Application Services in maintaining and advancing health applications
  • Work on a blend of steady and project-based tasks.
  • Participate in SSRS reports analysis, development, and implementation.
  • Lead/participate in SSIS packages development.
  • Ensure report design meets requirements for ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure system architecture conforms to enterprise standards.
  • Complete assigned maintenance, support, and development activities.
  • Update team documentation and knowledge sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned, including privacy training and signing a non-disclosure agreement.
  • May require after-hours and weekend work (approval needed in advance).
  • Language of work and service: English.
QualificationsQualifications:Mandatory Experience:
  • Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a Technical Analyst or Programmer Analyst.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
  • Demonstrated experience with SSRS reports in a development environment (7 years).
  • Available to start work immediately in Fredericton NB.
Other Requirements:
  • Experience with Healthcare and/or Health applications (5 years +).
  • Designing, developing, implementing, migrating, and maintaining SSRS reports (7 years +).
  • Developing and managing technical solutions in an operational environment (7 years +).
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) expertise including designing, implementing, and troubleshooting SSIS packages (5 years +).
  • Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting database elements (7 years +).
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and converting Cognos/Impromptu reports (1 year +).
  • Troubleshooting SQL-based reports (3 years +).
  • Understanding of data confidentiality and client privacy issues in application design and development (1 year +).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into report designs (4 years +).
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and software development lifecycles (SDLC) (3 years +).
